Saturday the 9th August the Van partnership held their
Annual Family Fun day - the weather was torrential but rain
did not stop play.
The event was attended by over 300 residents who got the
chance to sample: African Drumming, Cookery
demonstrations from around the World, Line Dancing,
Face Painting, Keep Fit, Pottery, T shirt making to name a few!

The Caerphilly Basin played host to BBC 2 Wales who filmed the
new “Meat and two Veg project” aimed at making cooking for men
fun incorporating eating healthy on a budget at the Van
Community Centre.
Avana was watched by over 70 members of the audience and
filmed for screening on the 7 November at 7.00pm on
BBC 2 Wales.
